I recently went to this place to have a vegetarian thali and then another couple of takeouts. Here is the summary of my experience here: PS: This place has recently been updated and renamed as "India Bhavan". It now serves non-vegetarian items as well. I talked to the owner and he mentioned that he was paying a lot of franchising fees but did not receive the necessary support. Also, this new name gives him the freedom to add vegetarian items whereas Kailash Parbat was only vegetarian: 1) Ambiance 4/5: The ambiance is similar to the old outlet with a few updates here and there. I like the vibe of Indian posters and the aesthetic. 2) Service 5/5: Since most of my orders have been takeouts, this is only the review for takeout. The orders have been prompt and mostly been ready by the time I was there to pick them up. 3) Food 4/5: I have had 3 experiences with take-outs and here is the review: a) Veg thali: The variety was good. They had naan, lentils, 1 paneer vegetable, dessert, some salad, a little rice and another vegetable which I am not able to recollect. I would have loved if they also added raita to it. b) Paneer Biryani: This was my favorite. They had not started it yet but when I ordered, they were gracious enough to make and I absolutely loved it. The paneer was soft and the rice was full of flavors. It was the right amount of spicy as well. c) Boneless chicken biryani: Happy with my experience of paneer biryani, I ordered the chicken boneless biryani with the lowest spice level. The owner was gracious enough to give me boneless chicken with chicken dum rice. I must that this is the most amount of chicken pieces I have had in a chicken biryani. Although the biryani was flavorful, a couple of things of caution - The spice level although requested for the lowest, was still very spicy. Also, I would have loved if they gave 2 raitas with the biryani since 1 small dip container is too less for 1 full biryani. 4) Value for Money 4/5: The thali and the biryanis are also costly in my opinion but for the taste and the number of chicken pieces, they are value for money. Overall, definitely recommended and must visit since the new menu items added The Good: 1) Updated Menu with non veg items 2) Great Paneer biryani 3) Most amount of chicken pieces in boneless chicken biryani Not so Good: 1) Less Raita

Ordered lunch to-go. Mushroom masala - A+ Superb 10 out of 10, recommend would eat again and again. Perfectly seasoned and perfect level of spice. I was worried since I wasn't asked which spice level I wanted that the food would be bland. Garlic naan - B I've had tastier naan. Nothing to write home about. Chole Bhatura - B The bread was the star of this meal. Prices are high, but it is in Alpharetta and it is 2024, where everything is expensive. They don't have any spinach dishes which is disappointing. If in the area, I would order the fried bread and mushroom masala again. It was delightful and filling.

l tried them for dinner and absolutely loved my meal. I ordered the Paneer Butter Masala spice level spicy. The rice portion was a bit small, but the gravy and cheese portion was great. Let's face it, rice is rice but the gravy is where the flavor is so I didn't mind. The flavor seems authentic and not "Americanized" with a bunch of cream and mild flavors. The tables were clean, it was seat yourself and order at the counter. That's fine, I don't expect the same level of service at Indian places and simply don't tip (it's not a part of their culture). I saw other Indian people eating there which is a great sign. I can't wait to come back!

This restaurant is so good! I was really craving some chole pathure and it did not disappoint! The pathure were huge and super fluffy. The plate comes with two huge pathure The chole could be a tad more spicy/flavorful, but still good. It comes with red onions too, but I wish they provided lime with it. The papdi and bel puri is delicious as well! The restaurant is kinda tucked away in a quiet shopping strip, but they've done a great job with the decorations and the ambience. They played updated versions of classic Bollywood music, which was such a nice nostalgic touch! I will say the service is pretty lousy though. Each table has a bottle of water on it and we finished ours pretty quickly. No one ever came by to ask if we needed more, if the food was okay, anything. Pretty typical for Indian restaurants so just a star off for lack of service.

I prefer this location to the one in Decatur which is a sit down place. Amazing food - recommend bombay sandwich, vada pav, dabeli. Was not as impressed with the Szechuan noodles. A bit of tight seating but food was worth is. This location is self service and doesn't have a bar menu. For that, you will have to go to the Decatur location.

This is a solid vegetarian addition to the Alpharetta scene. It's fast casual, and has a huge menu. Their speciality is chole, which was flavorful. The veg Manchurian and chili baby corn were also really good. The Hakka noodles were just okay. Spice levels skew hot, so let them know your preferences when ordering. The chicoo shake and the mango lassi were also tasty, though pricey. They automatically add gratuity for parties of 4. Service was nice, but you do have to fill up your own water.

-Tempting food options -Friendly staff -Beautiful, cozy ambience My craving for chaat was satisfied quite decently after having chaat here at Kailash! Had Aloo tikki, Hara bara kebab and Chole bature. Aloo tikki tasted quite alright - could have used a little more salt, tanginess and spice as is expected out of an Indian chaat dish. Hara bara kebab was crunchy, filling tasted good and the extra detail was the roasted cashew on top! Chole bature - Bature again, could have used a little salt, Chole tasted okayish. Overall, all the dishes could have had a little extra salt to turn out perfect. But anyone who likes less salty/less spicy food will definitely love this place!
